Dear Snack Attackers, Midnight Grazers, and Accidentally Lunch Before Brunchers,
First things first, heads up on this:
2:30 on the Local Music Stage
This morning was the first morning of the season with a little chill--lounge pants and slippers required for the morning wake-up. I’ve transitioned to a medium point TUL pen. Not bad, I do like a TUL pen.
Greg Norton was on The Vinyl Guide yesterday talking about The Miracle Year live box, and all the board tapes that they drew on to put that together. Also a high quality live film that’s in the can. Husker fans are a happy bunch this year, and next year, and the years after that, it seems. This is about all the brain traction I can get this morning. Fan boy coffee talk.
We took a good long walk (GLW) last night and that gave me 10,000 steps for the first 2 days of the month. I hit my goal, 5 lbs down in 60 days. I’m shooting for a steady, enduring change in habits, with losing some weight as a side benefit. Otherwise I think about it too much and that tricks my brain into believing I need to store Kettle Chips for the winter. Also, I focus on happy/engaged/creative times, doing good stuff, when food is fuel and not all the things it can be--escape, consolation prize, stress response, anger outlet, etc.
I bring my dented food bucket to the Great American Zombie Chuckwagon, privileged to enjoy abundance, but at odds with it, too. Giving up sweets, that was next level stuff for me.
Change of subject with zero irony, there is a Japanese grocery store called Daiso, in Lenexa, that I want to check out. I am curious about what they have for office supplies. The Pan Asian store did not have office supplies. I was hoping for some weird notebooks. It’s a long way down there.
