KCMO

Dear hardback hefters, paperback pounders, and e-book eviscerators:

New day, new notebook, an Amazon find, I admit it. Unlined, 8.5” x 11”. Always nice to start a new notebook. I had a 3-pack of spirals but those were not doing it for me.

new notebook opens space portal!

I watched half of The Shark Whisperer last night, after working on a tune. The missus is out of town or we would have started season 5 of Peaky Blinders. Trippy story—zenning out with sharks. I also read chapter one of the new James Lee Burke book.

The midterm elections are 13.5 months from now. Nothing you fixate on, with the help of a pocket computer, is going to change that. Fixating on whether the elections will be fair and free won’t help either. You may have to wait in line with homesick national guard troops on patrol. (Smell yr tax dollars burning like gasoline but don’t blame them). You may be voting in a recently gerry-mandered district. I know I will be. Bad vigilante vibes may be all over town. It may feel like spitting in the wind of lawlessness and chaos. More likely, it will be a quiet, respectful process overall, with a few bad apples inspired by top-down malfeasance.

Still, isn’t it an honor to look forward to this day and what we can try to change, in the face of pure propaganda and ill-intent? Ill intent campaigns against itself—don’t get exhausted by it.
