Dear mouse, clickers, printer cussers And Zoom mutants,

We are heading into a stretch of bearable weather, not sweat-hoggiin’ it on our neighborhood walks. We got our 10K in last night. The city was relining a line a few blocks away and the epoxy smell was super nasty. Nevertheless, that’s a pretty cool technology. I’m not sure whether this was a stormwater line or a sewer line. We walked all the way to Gillham Park and did a lap before heading home..

I don’t have much to say this morning but maybe I’ll think of something. I’m listening to UK subs records on streaming platforms and digging those. The guitar playing is stellar. I’m also still listening to a John Adams CD from the Plaza library. The energy of the instrumental pieces is intense but the vocal piece “The Wound Dresser” kind of stops the flow. Mature listeners agree that I should shut it, and give it my full attention. Not all music is for peppy autobahn jams, and dodging massive KC potholes.

I have had a big cardboard box behind the couch for a couple months, a 4 x 6 sheet metal shed. Now that it is cooler it is time to put that mug together. I can visualize plastic bags full of tiny screws, and holes that don’t quite align. Who knows, maybe it will go smooth. I built a platform for it. The great incentive is to have some space cleared in the garage.

I watched the Lou Reed video feature on Night Flight last night. “I Love You, Suzanne” and also footage from the Robert Quine-era live concert video that I’ve seen before. “I Love You Suzanne” is certainly a cheesy video, but I still like it. Is that a stunt Lou dancing at the end or a real Lou?

Later they aired part of an Interview where he talked about how much he loves performing live, but how much he has to obsess on the sound quality in the venue and on stage before he feels comfortable.
