9.29.25 - WHERE DOES YOUR MUSIC LIVE

KCMO

Dear rotary sprinklers, back n’ forth sweepers, and thumb-over-hosers,

I have re-printed the teal town Squids shirt after DJ Scott from Let The Day Begin (Wednesdays on KKFI from 6 to 8!) ordered a size I was out of. Thanks Scott. Those are re-upped on my Bandcamp page. Beyond that I have LBA (low brain activity) this AM.

For me the voices of the season are Molly Nilsson & Tex Perkins. I’m listening to records of theirs I got on Bandcamp.

There is a lot more of their music to explore, but the music I traded some dough for lives in a different apartment building from all the music in the entire world available for $15/month on a pocket computer and voluntary surveillance device.

It is a small courtyard apartment complex and I know the names of all the dogs.

I know, this is voluntarily old-fashioned of me and pretty soon I’ll be wearing sweats and velcro-strap shoes and eating bland food at 4:30. When I had ten cassette tapes and I would plan on which one to listen to first when I got home on the bus, I did not have all the music in the entire world available for $15/month on a pocket computer, and I am glad I had that experience. Synchronicity, Diamond Dogs, or The Unforgettable Fire?

Who wrote that song White Light/White Heat on Mark’s Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture tape? I need to ride my bike to the library to look that up, and return this overdue Ray Bradbury book.
