9.16.25 - TO SPEAK OF POLITICS

9.16.25

Dear trash can draggers, recycling bin rollers, and cardboard fumblers,

I got back and forth on speaking of politics here.

To pay attention is to wake up in a pressure cooker, and to pay attention online is to wake up in a pressure cooker full of juicy snakes and gators. A daily scan of the Christian Science Monitor or BBC news could be sufficient scrolling. Sufficient to inspire me to focus on 2026 elections, to do my part, without adding pressure to the pot with hot air.

In a noisy world, taking care of boring business is heroic. Governing should be boring, too, not constant drama. Fact-based discourse and government—zzzz so boring. Be radical—be boring. Everyday functional news, citizenship, and government.

This soapbox is 3/8 of 1” tall. This bullhorn fits in a thimble. This tweet reads like a Sears catalog.
