Dear postcard writers, phone-call makers, and leave-peppers-on-the-porch types,

Shed progress yesterday was significant, and no cussing.  All I have left to do is re-level the platform and assemble and install the doors.  I listened to a triple Jan Garbarek live CD called Dansere, with three shows from three eras, starting in the early 70’s.  The first has the most skronk, the second and third begin to sound like the atmospheric, melodic soundscapes that he’s known for.  I like it all.  

I also listened to Captain Starfighter and Lockheeds, Live at Kozfest 2017.  They are a contemporary band that pays tribute to Robert Calvert and his Captain Lockheed and The Starfighters album.  It took me a few songs to figure out what was what but by the time I figured it out, I was into it.  I listened to the actual Captain Lockheed record later.

I was cooked by 6 hours in the sun. Later, the ADT alarm went off from smoke in the oven, and I briefly lost my temper at the entire planet.  Convection setting plus olive oil on a thin baking sheet=smoke bomb.  I moved the turmeric chick peas to a pyrex and kept going.  I listened to sides three and four of the New Christs comp but I didn’t have much energy for it. I know that I really love the tune “Jenny”.
