Dear tote tyrants, pouch un-zippers, and desk tray delinquents,
I finished a book last night, it doesn’t matter what book—it wasn’t so great. It was one I wanted to run right out to the little free library but for now it’s back on the shelf with its kindred genre books.
The thing is, I may think on and off of this book because it was conceptually interesting, and had a trippy premise set in an international city we’d like to visit. It took weird chances and was personally interesting to me. Just needed another run through the sifter, another half hour in the oven.
A book gets written
A book gets published
A book gets read
MIRACLE!
I’m also listening to Witchcraft For Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix. I’ve really enjoyed his other books. I love audiobooks but they cut into my music time quite a bit. And the reader can make a huge difference. I’m not crazy about this reader, but that’s just me.
I’ll be diligent about finishing this one but the last 1/4 might be in paper or ebook format. Maybe there’s an app that converts unpleasant narration to Werner Herzog’s voice.
Yours truly
Dan
