Dear coffee slurpers, dorito crunchers and dum dum crackers,

It’s Friday with a chance of rain but otherwise another stretch of sweet fall weather ahead.

We are still watching our current show, Peaky Blinders on the screened in porch. All we have left to watch is the finale and then our inner gangsters will be qualified to decide what we want and do whatever it takes to get it, with strategic and tactical proficiency as well as otherworldly good looks.

The garden is still full of peppers, poblano, jalapeño, habanero, sweet Italian, and something else I lost the little arrow shaped plastic identifier for. I dried a bunch and made chili powder in the convection oven. That stuff is amazing on a sandwich.

This Bandcamp feature on Homestead Records is a fun read for those whose fire got lit by many of those bands.

Squids are playing a show at The Ship with La Cerca, now anchored by KC drummer Matt Brahl. They are out of Tucson and Matt tours with them. They just get better every time.

Today’s library cd is Unattended Luggage, a 3 cd comp of Nick Mason solo records. Listening to Animals got me interested. I have always loved that song “Siam” which I discovered on a Robert Wyatt anthology.
