THE THING ABOUT SUPER BOWL PARTIES

When I watch The Chiefs in the Super Bowl I am watching every game I ever watched, from the Steve Fuller era, before I learned it was a business, through Marty Ball and beyond. I love my friends who have SB parties but I’m kind of meditating on family, childhood, Time, and the feeling I get when I see red jerseys. I watched games alone as a kid and the results were seldom good.

So I enjoy these spectacular games at home, no longer feeling lonely. Maybe get some Gates or Minsky’s. Read John LeCarre during ads, take a walk during halftime (unless it’s The Who).
